San Diego laboratory increases research and development capability and addresses increased demand for data recovery services in Western North America
ARMONK, NY / SAN DIEGO, CA, September 15, 2004 - CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc. (http://www.cbltech.com), a leading international provider of computer data recovery services, has expanded its laboratory facilities in San Diego to better meet the recovery needs of the West coast of North America, as well as offer its in-depth tape technology expertise worldwide through CBL's network of laboratories.
The growth of CBL's San Diego facility follows on the heels of recent expansion in Singapore and the opening of a data recovery lab in Japan. CBL San Diego serves as the company's West coast hub for North America's data recovery needs and is headed up by CBL resident tape expert Doug Owens.
The new CBL facility in San Diego measures almost 3,000 sq. ft. and is equipped with tape technology and equipment spanning back 25 years all the way to tomorrow's technology today, including LTO2 and DLT4, to guarantee CBL meets the data recovery needs of tape users across the entire spectrum.
"Tape remains to this data a prevalent method of data storage and back up for large organizations around the world," says Owens, director of CBL's San Diego lab. CBL's San Diego lab was recently awarded a contract to teach tape technology to the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs. Owens also lends his tape knowledge as an expert and columnist to SearchStorage.com, the Web's best storage-specific information resource for enterprise IT professionals.
